Applying banners/decals differ from placing regular stickers. The Alphagirl banners/decals are intricately cut, often consisting of multiple or smaller pieces held together by a transfer media. A clear masking tape is used to allow you to easily see the application site and effortlessly position the decal.
Temperature plays a crucial role during application. Excessive heat can overly soften the sticker, making precise placement challenging, and if it's too cold, the sticker may not adhere properly. Ensure the temperature ranges between 40°F and 80°F before starting.
Preparation matters. A clean surface is essential, avoiding dust or residue from prior stickers. Dust or dirt could lead to trapped air bubbles that can't be removed. We recommend using plain water (a drop of Dawn Dishwashing detergent) and a clean cloth to thoroughly cleanse the painted surface. For window placement, using rubbing alcohol is advised, especially if rain shed products were previously applied, eliminating any chemicals that might hinder the sticker's durability.
Peel the car decal slowly from its backing paper, ensuring all pieces come up together. If any part remains stuck, reposition the transfer tape over it and press firmly to transfer it. Repeat until all pieces are successfully on the transfer tape.
Carefully select the banner/decal's placement as they aren't easily repositioned once applied.
Press the banner/decal firmly into place, starting from the center and moving outward, using a finger, squeegee, or credit card. Smooth out any bubbles that appear with your finger or thumb.
SLOWLY, remove the transfer tape, ensuring no small pieces peel off. If they do, gently reapply and firmly press until all pieces are securely in place.
Check for bubbles and smooth them out if any are present with a thumb or finger.
